If you’ve never encountered one of these auctions before, how they work is winners submit proof of their donation to one of the listed charities (in this case, the California Community Foundation Wildlife Relief Fund, the LA Food Bank, the LA Fire Department Foundation, or the Animal Wellness Foundation Fire Relief Fund), so you can trust that your donation will be going directly to relief efforts.

I also donated a manuscript critique to the #Kidlit4Ceasefire 2025 auction, which runs until January 31. Since the auction launched, a ceasefire has been declared, but the funds for this auction go to GoFundMes for families in Gaza that are still displaced and impacted by the war, so donations are still welcome.
